Yachaq Ñan : Way of Wisdom

A Sacred Pilgrimage of Prayer to offer gratitude and make ayni exchanges with earth beings and human beings.
Registration FAQ
Day 1
  • Depart Cusco by van to the village of Pacchanta at the base of Apu Ausangate
  • First Ceremonial Despacho Offering to make initial contact with the Apus, Pachamama and our Paqos. 
  • We ask for humbleness, strength, good weather, good health and for permission to continue this sacred journey.
  • We offer our deepest gratitude, our highest intent and blessed reverence for this powerful opportunity.
  • Dinner and overnight camping at the home of Ruffino Turpo.
Day 2
  • Wake up to hot coca tea, breakfast and depart on horseback and walking
  • Arrive at Azul Ccocha (Blue Lake) where we camp for 2 nights
  • With this sacred glacial lagoon we will make a ceremonial offering to Pachamama, honoring the Feminine Nusta Earth Beings.
  • In Ayni with the land and waters, we will receive the blessings of the Hatun Karpay : a powerful sacred initiation and connection
Day 3
  • Wake up to hot coca tea, breakfast and morning meditation, movement and mesa work.
  • Explore the surrounding area and Otorongo Ccocha (Jaguar Lake)
  • Here we connect with Apu Ausangate and receive the Hatun Karpay initiation and connection with the mountain.
  • Afternoon time for personal ceremonial work and exploration

Day 4
  • Wake up to hot coca tea, breakfast and morning meditation/prayers.
  • Pack up and depart for a day of walking/riding
  • Today we trek over the highest point of our journey, looking down upon turquoise lagoons with magestic peaks in every direction.
  • Our destination - the ancestral home of Don Mariano Turpo a deeply revered Yachaq healer - where we will spend the night at the feet of Apu Huaman Lipana on the banks of the Mama Ccocha lagoon. 
  • We are blessed and delighted to meet Dona Julia and see her beautiful weavings!
  • Closing gratitude ceremony and celebration
Day 5
  • Wake up to hot coca tea, breakfast and morning practice
  • Pack up and depart on foot and horseback for Tinquy village and the hot springs where we can refresh ourselves before the drive back to Cusco.
